Congratulations to the Southern Region IDTANA Scholarship Winners
The Irish Dance Teachers Association of North America has announced the winners of the 2009 college scholarships. Congratulations to the following Southern Region dancers who were recognized by the committee:
- Shannon Cantwell - Drake School of Irish Dance. Shannon attends Furman University, where she majors in Economics
- Melissa Rooney - Culkin School of Traditional Irish Dance. Melissa plans to attend Villanova University and in physics and secondary education
- Caroline Bogdan - Maple School of Irish Dance. Caroline attends the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where she majors in Environmental Engineering
- Hunter Stoner - An Cor Rud School of Irish Dance. Hunter plans to attend the University of Richmond and major in nutrition (pre-med)
- Rachel McGrain - Culkin School of Irish Dance. Rachel plans to attend the University of Maryland / College Park and major in sociology
- Rachel Lavigne - Boyle School of Irish Dance. Rachel plans to major in history/political science
- Kenly Lesak - Rince na h’Eireann School of Irish Dance. Kenly plans to major in textiles/fashion design
