Congratulations to the following new TCRGs in the Southern Region. These individuals successfully earned their certificates at the October 2009 exam in Washington, DC.
Each year the IDTANA-Southern Region awards a $500 travel stipend to a number of eligible world qualifiers from our recent Oireachtas. The program is in its third year and the number of recipients was increased this year by two, bringing to seven, the number of lucky selectees.
All World Qualifiers are automatically entered into the random draw process. Once confirmation is received that the top seven are indeed making the trip to compete, the awards announced.
Those receiving a travel stipend to the 2010 World Championships are:
UPDATE (3/12): A World Championships Travel Stipend has been awarded to Chrissy Hanson (Kristin Butke School) as one of the original selectees has elected not to travel to the Worlds.
Lauren Cass, of the Cass School of Irish Dance, will be representing the Southern Region as a Worlds Qualifier.
This additional qualification is a result of the selection of Judy McCafferty, ADCRG, as an adjudicator for OIreachtas Rince na Cruinne 2010.
