UPDATE:  9:59 a.m. -- Issues with the online reservation system appear to be resolved. The Gaylord has advised that the call center and online systems are being updated to reflect that charges will not be added for additional guests in sleeping rooms up to 4 people in a room, which is the hotel's standard policy.

Reservations for the 2010 IDTANA-Southern Region Oireacthas open on Monday, March 1, 2010.

Room Rate: $139 per night + $10 resort fee and tax. All reservations require a one-night non-refundable deposit. Reservations may be cancelled up to 72 hours before check-in time without an additional penalty.

Reservations for the hotel rooms at the Gaylord National, site of the 2010 IDTANA-Southern Region Oireacthas, will open on Monday, March 1, 2010. A link to the online reservations system will be posted on this website on Monday morning at approximately 9 a.m. EST.

Each year the IDTANA-Southern Region awards a $500 travel stipend to a number of eligible world qualifiers from our recent Oireachtas. The program is in its third year and the number of recipients was increased this year by two, bringing to seven, the number of lucky selectees.

All World Qualifiers are automatically entered into the random draw process. Once confirmation is received that the top seven are indeed making the trip to compete, the awards announced.

Those receiving a travel stipend to the 2010 World Championships are:

UPDATE (3/12):  A World Championships Travel Stipend has been awarded to Chrissy Hanson (Kristin Butke School) as one of the original selectees has elected not to travel to the Worlds.
